2012 Lunar New Year Special – Animals Taiwan (Taipei Area)

UPDATE 1/22/2012 – I went this morning, will be there for 1/24 afternoon and 1/29 morning. We need people 1/23 afternoon, 1/28 morning, and 1/29 afternoon. Contact liza@animalstaiwan.org !

I’m going to start (sorry I’m so behind) looking into volunteer opportunities for the holidays in which organizations are very understaffed, so if you are at home in Taiwan, come out and help! If you have other opportunities please be so kind as to let me know and spread the love.

I’m going to start this off with Animals Taiwan! You can walk the dogs and get a great workout! They are also looking for short term foster families over the break if you have a chance so there’s two ways to help – from home or at the shelter!

Animals Taiwan, bias bias, is one of my favorite organizations in Taipei and here’s what I explained to a person yesterday on why:

AT’s commitment to the strays here in their relentless drive to care for the especially needy furry friends, generally those that have been utilized for excessive breeding, striken by ailments and needing long term care, struck by cars or blinded by physical violence…

Do visit their homepage and their Facebook!

Language Proficiency: You can be of any language proficiency and I’m pretty sure you can stop by and visit to pet a dog or two even if you are on a visitor’s visa (contact them directly for more info). Definitely pal friendly and I urge you to bring a group of friends!

I’ll be heading over some of the days so if you want to know when I’m going, send me an email or say hello when you seen me!

AT HOME:

If you are home this Lunar New Year, want some company, you can foster a dog or cat. You’ll find out that life is beautiful by giving a doggy or kitty a vacation. Please contact Animals Taiwan directly at 02-2833-8820 for more details!

AT THE SHELTER:

Dates: January 20-31st, any day or days
Times & Tasks:
Morning and afternoon shifts:
9am – 12pm:  Cleaning cages, feeding the furry friends
12pm – 5pm: Walking dogs, fixing fences, assisting with cleaning

If you are able to help on any of these days at any of these times please email liza@animalstaiwan.org or myself if you have questions, with the days and times you can help.  Please also help to pass this message!

UPDATED TIME SLOTS THAT NEED PEOPLE:

Remember you are still always welcome to stop by between 12:00 – 4:00pm to walk our furry friends!

UPDATE 1/22/2012 – I went this morning, will be there for 1/24 afternoon and 1/29 morning. We need people 1/23 afternoon, 1/28 morning, and 1/29 afternoon.
